More women have come forward claiming former NFL star Marcellus Wiley raped them.
NEW YORK, NY -- Former NFL player and media personality Marcellus Wiley is facing a new wave of sexual assault allegations, with four additional women coming forward in recent court filings that significantly broaden an already ongoing legal battle tied to his time as a student-athlete at Columbia University and his later professional career.
In addition to earlier claims of sexual assaults in dormitory settings while he was a student-athlete, newly filed allegations include incidents said to have occurred in California between 1995 and 1999.
One of the most serious claims comes from a woman who alleges Wiley began interacting with her when she was 13 years old after visiting her middle school in Buffalo, New York, during his time with the Buffalo Bills. She claims he initiated contact, gave her his email, built a relationship with her and her family, and maintained communication over several years. According to her account, on her 18th birthday he flew her to Dallas—while he was with the Dallas Cowboys—and coerced her into sex, which she describes as rape following years of grooming.
Another accuser, a former ESPN production assistant, alleges Wiley assaulted her in a hotel room in 2009 after inviting her under the guise of a work meeting. She claims he emerged naked and physically overpowered her despite her repeated pleas to stop.
