He kinda looks like Vince Young... might end up like him.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ— Five years afterblowing up the Curry family franchise, Sonya Curry, 60, is back to her desperate attention-seeking ways with wedding photographs—and a new Black husband whose face she seems ashamed to show.
Last time she crossed our radar, she was romantically linked to Steven Johnson, a white former NFL player and longtime family friend. Dell alleged she was living with Johnson; Sonya denied it. Dell later married Nicki, reportedly Johnson’s ex-wife. The drama practically wrote itself.
Now comes another curious presentation: a wedding at Arizona’s Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, complete with romantic photographs but no clear look at the groom.
The husband’s place in this presentation is particularly uncomfortable. He is visible enough to establish that Sonya has remarried, but concealed enough to function as a faceless accessory to her announcement. A man should have more presence in his own wedding photographs than a mystery character awaiting a reveal.

If privacy is the objective, keep the celebration private. If you choose to share it publicly, recognize what the photographs communicate. In this case, hiding the groom has made him the story. Feels like Sonya wants everyone to know she was a hot property that someone snatched of the market, but there's a reason she's been on the market five years struggling to find a buyer. Perhaps, the white man knew a bad investment when he saw one.
Anyway... congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Whatever-Your-Name-Is.
