Michael Holley lost conciousness during a live stream of Pro Football Live with Mike Florio.
BOSTON, MA -- Veteran sports journalist Michael Holley, 56, is recovering after fainting on-air during Friday’s edition of PFT Live. Holley became overheated while broadcasting remotely and had not eaten or had anything to drink before the 7 a.m. show, according to co-host Mike Florio. He regained consciousness within about a minute and suffered only a knee cut requiring five stitches.
Holley has spent more than three decades in sports media, including stints with the Boston Globe, WEEI radio, ESPN, and NBC Sports Boston. He joined NBC Sports Boston in 2018 and later co-hosted Peacock’s Brother From Another with Michael Smith from 2020 until the program ended in 2024. More recently, Holley has appeared regularly on PFT Live and continues working as an associate professor of journalism at Boston University.
Our prayers are with Holley and we wish him a speedy recovery.
