Tyronne Brazille, 50(SCSO)
BATON ROUGE, LA -- A Louisiana man is accused of fatally shooting a woman in Baton Rouge before driving more than five hours to Tennessee with her body in the passenger seat.
Tyronne Brazille, 50, was arrested in Memphis after police stopped him for a traffic violation on Thursday, Aug. 13. During the stop, officers discovered Lanessa Bradford, 50, dead inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound.
Baton Rouge police believe Brazille shot Bradford following a verbal argument at Independence Community Park before leaving Louisiana and traveling across state lines.
Bradford was Brazille’s wife and worked at an elementary school. A friend said Bradford had been considering leaving the relationship and had previously expressed concerns about Brazille’s behavior and threats.
Brazille was booked in Memphis as a fugitive and is awaiting extradition to Louisiana, where authorities say he will face a murder charge in Bradford’s death.
